Neon Drive - '80s style arcade App Reviews

Hard for me. I used to be faster and Im relearning how to be fast. For a reference I got an early Apple II (6,000 or so) in my late thirties and now, in my old age feel the need to retrain my brain. This is the most fun way Ive found. I also fly RC but really dont like sims so this is good practice. I think Im considered good at my RC club but I dont get there often enough. Yeah, therapy but fun.

Ive been playing this game for a year and it just gets better and better! There were a few things that made this game not a 5 star, this game is always getting constant improvements. If theres something off with the game and you email them and you will get a response the same day! Get the game and keep it!

This game is so much fun! Love the 80s vibe!

This game is absolutely stunning to see and experience. The music is fantastic. I purchased it here in the App Store, but once I realized I could only obtain the soundtrack if I buy it on Steam, I bought it there, too. Despite all this though, the glaring flaw with this title is that it just isnt all that fun to play. The gameplay bills itself as a kind of rhythm game. However as anyone who has played this for any length of time will attest, the fastest way to failure is to move in perfect harmony with the beats. Clearly the level designers meant for the obstacles to incorporate the games music, but it is flawed and doesnt match the beat. Youll find yourself tuning out the music and focusing on the obstacles visually to know when to avoid them. Aside from that, the nature of the obstacles are pretty boring and uninspired. I find myself frustrated that the gameplay experience keeps me from enjoying the visual and audio experience of this game. Instead of a flawed rhythm game, maybe this would have been better as a more conventional racing game or some other creative exercise. Some of the visuals in this game are shockingly beautiful. Despite my contention with the gameplay I still recommend this title.

This game is absolutely fun to play. Great graphics and killer levels to play on and on. The music to play with as well is awesome.

This is a type of game that will give you a tough time but is also fun at the same time. I cannot wait to see the next level and what is has in store for me and players all across the globe. P.S that level needs to come out ASAP

Dont get me wrong, I like a good challenge, but there are levels that are insanely hard and sometimes that takes away some of the more soothing aspects of the game, such as the soundtrack and the visuals, maybe a future update with an easier mode (zen mode maybe?) but overall a great game! if you like the 80s vibe with all that neon and cool music this is definitely for you! A great change of pace for racing games.

I loved this game. Awesome 80s soundtrack made me feel like I was a kid again playing Sega! Im looking forward to more levels. *BONUS* you dont have to pay to play. Buy the game and play all you want!

After playing this for a bit.. its kind of boring. The obstacles arent inspiring. Levels take too long to evolve. It seems to be missing something. Also, audio and visual do not line up and usually mess me up. So music doesnt really work.. such a shame Reminds me of this video I saw on YouTube. Kung Fury..(great video btw) and its just so perfect with this sense of past and future slammed together. Worth the money!

What happened to the head and expert levels for each stage? I just re completed level one again and not only is the level not as fun because the oncoming cars start to early, but now there is no option to play the levels any faster? Game has lost a lot of fun because if this.

Whatever happened to the different modes of difficulty? Please bring those back its incredibly boring!
